Through Heaven's Eyes

"You'll never know all the steps but you must learn to join the dance"

It's funny how this song has been ministering to me on so many levels. Growing up, I've always loved watching cartoons and learning their soundtracks from Barbie to every Disney cartoon can think of (well most of them)........... This soundtrack (Through Heavens Eyes) from the Prince of Egypt (a Disney cartoon) is one that I loved singing to any time I watched this cartoon, it was one of my favorite sound tracks in the movie. I had not heard the song for a long time, I mean it was during my childhood days maybe I was still in primary school I don't really remember as it was a long time ago until recently my brother was playing it and it brought back memories of my childhood. This was the beginning of how God began to use this song as a tool to minister to me in different ways.

It is shocking how God can use the simplest things to teach you something or answer a question you ask Him. This particular song has been like that for me. Since last year, I began listening to this song again and nothing really stood out of the ordinary for me, the song was a familiar anthem for me.

There came a time where I started questioning my Faith in God. These questions kept coming to a point it started stressing me out. Questions like; 'What if I lose my way?' What if I do or say the wrong things out of Ignorance and God will hate me?' 'Why can't I do things right?' Is God still hearing my prayer?'...... And these questions went on and on that if I start writing all the questions and thoughts in my mind this write up will become an Epistle.

One day, I was moved to listen to the song on my playlist and that is how I began to receive revelation on the mind of God concerning what I was going through. The phrase from the lyrics of the song that stood out particularly for me was "You'll Never Know All The Steps, But You Must Learn To Join The Dance" And then, Like that I received insights to all the ramblings of my mind.

As humans, we are bound to make mistakes but what is important is that we learn from them. Think about when you started with God and where you are right now. There are choices that you made either good, bad, intentional or not. It is your intentional learning that makes you grow to where you are now.

So when God places an impression in your heart, sometimes, it can be scary and taking a step of faith does not mean you won't stumble. When you do, He is right there to pick you up and He keeps saying; 'Keep going', I'm with you, keep learning, and I will bring to your remembrance all you have learnt'.

Let the fear of stumbling not keep us from taking a "leap of faith" and you might stumble here or there but remember, "You'll Never Know All The Steps But You Must Learn To Join The Dance.
